Katherine was her name.
She was a sixteen year old teenage girl.
Intelligence, looks, friends.
She had it all.
Well… that’s what people said.
The truth was that she only had two friends; she was only a popular girl with two real friends.
Intelligence… yes, she was intelligent.
Looks, she may be beautiful, but she felt ugly on the inside.
All the boys wanted her.
But she never noticed.
She loved singing.
That’s what kept her happy for so long.
She liked some bands.
Like, Paramore and All Time Low.
She liked the Jonas Brothers too, but she wasn’t obsessed with them like the other girls at school.
I mean… they called her crazy because she wasn’t obsessed.
They’re not that amazing as everyone said they were.
Katherine never was in love, and she never had a boyfriend.
Even though she could have any boy she wanted.
But one day, she found love.
Will she handle all the drama?
Or will she just give up?

Chapter One;
Katherine woke up, looking at her clock.
It was 9:15.
She didn’t go to school this week; Spring Break.
She was sitting on the bed, thinking.
Thinking about her life.
She liked it but, she always thought it could be better.
Without the popular part.
She had a bath and got dressed;
T-Shirt.
Pants.
Shoes.
She went downstairs, there was a note.
“Sweetie, I went to the grocery store.
And then I’m going to work.
Love, Mom.
P.S – Don’t forget to take your sister to her friend’s house.”

Her parents were divorced.
She lived with her mom, Danielle, and little sister, Michelle.
Michelle was still sleeping.
Katherine made breakfast and took it to Michelle’s room.
“Mich, wake up.”
She opened up her eyes and looked at her older sister.
“Good morning, Mich.”
“Good morning, sis.”
Michelle was eleven years old.
“Look, you have to get ready to go to Ashley’s house.”
“Hmm, okay.”
Katherine went downstairs.
The phone rang, it was Megan.
Her best friend.
“Hey Kath! What are you up to, today?”
“Oh, I have to take my sister to her friend’s house.
Then I’ll sit here… doing nothing all day.”
“Don’t be silly, I called Taylor.
He said that we have to go to the park at two o’clock.
He has something to tell us.”
“Hmm… I wonder what it is.”
“Hahaha, same.
Well, I have to go.
See you soon.”
“Bye Meg.”
They hung up.
Meanwhile Michelle went downstairs.
“Are you ready?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, let’s go then.”
They left the house.

Chapter Two;
We arrived at Ashley’s house.
Me and my sister hugged and I went back home.
I was extremely bored, so I went to our backyard.
I just sat on the grass, looking at the sky.
I was there for hours.
It was now 3:07 and I was still at home.
I was supposed to be at the park with Meg & Taylor.
But I wasn’t.
They called me, billion of times.
And I didn’t pick up.
I was having a good time doing nothing.
Maybe that’s the reason why I have two friends.
I got another call. It was Meg again, so I decided to finally pick up.
”Hello?”
“Katherine Marie Walker! You are late, missy.”
“I am?”
Yes, I was lying, I know.
But I knew they would get mad at me if I didn’t.
“Yes. You were supposed to meet me and Taylor at the park, THREE HOURS AGO!”
“I’m so sorry, Megan. I fell asleep.”
“It’s okay; now get your butt here. Now!”
I hung up and ran as fast as I could to the park.
My two best friends looked so pissed off.
I would be lucky if I left the park alive.
I walked over to them; Taylor was about to talk but he just stood there, looking at me.
“Sorry. I’m so sorry, but I fell asleep.”
I put an innocent look on and they calmed down.
“Okay, Kath. We forgive you.”
I smiled; “Thanks.”
“Now let me tell you the big news.”
Seven minutes passed, and he was still quiet.
“So… Aren’t you going to tell us?”
“Yeah, what Katherine said.”
“Oh, yes. Sorry. There’s a gig tomorrow.”
“REALLY?!”
Wow, I sure liked music.
“Yeah. Paramore and All Time Low.”
“No way! NO FREAKING WAY!”
“Yes way. And and and… We’re going! Front row.”
“Oh My God! Shut up.”
“Wow Kath… I never thought you’d freak out.”
“Are you kidding me? Look at my t-shirt, dude.”
“…Paramore.”
“Exactly.”
“Oh well… I have to go now.”
“Yeah, same here.”
“You’re leaving me all by myself?”
Puppy dog eyes; typical.
They nodded.
We said our goodbyes and hugged.
Then I went to the beach; to look at the sea.
No one was there
…that was what I thought.
